From first strokes to match ready: Wooburn Narkovians

Ben Cooper, a coach from Wooburn Narkovians, talks about the importance of trying something new in sport. Cricket is a great a sport to get young people active and can teach key lifelong skills such as hand eye co-ordination, accuracy and throwing and catching. Even small taster sessions can initiate a child’s love for a sport for life.

At the taster session, children got involved in numerous Cricket warmups and drills. These games allowed children to simply get involved and get a real taste for the sport. Some drills included bowling, scoring runs and batting.
