Meet our judges
Netball
We have two of the best Netball players in the NSL to judge on your skills. Loughborough Lighting championship winner Alice Harvey and Jayda Pechova, two of the best players in the Netball Super League will judge the best netball skills.
Rugby
We have one of the best performers in the Rugby Championships Michael 'Pickle' Green from Nottingham Rugby brings elite level rugby insight and experience alongside our second judge, to be announced soon.
Football
Elite female coach, Holly Espie from Manchester City Ladies joins our football panel alongside our second judge, to be announced soon.
Head Judges
Our Beyond the Sport presenters, Kenzie Benalie and Jim Daly are our Head Judges, bringing experience and expertise from across the sporting landscape.

1. Who can enter the competition?
The competition is open to anyone UK based who wants to showcase their sporting skills in football, rugby, or netball. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned player, if you’ve got the skills, we want to see them. Entrants should ensure they have permission from a parent or guardian if required and comply with the social media guidelines.
2. How do I enter the Shoshin Skills Showdown?
Simply record a video showcasing your best football, rugby, or netball skill, post it on your social media account, tag @ShoshinSports, and include the hashtag #ShoshinSkillsShowdown in your post.
3. What kind of skills are the judges looking for?
We're looking for skills that demonstrate dedication, practice, and a genuine passion for your sport. Whether it's a perfectly executed pass, an incredible piece of footwork, a shooting challenge, or a creative training drill, show us the skill you've worked hardest to master.
4. What can I win?
Prizes available are:
• 3 Grand Prize Bundles (one per sport)
• 2 Runner-Up Prizes per sport
So there are multiple chances to win across netball, rugby and football.
5. Who will judge the entries?
Entries will be reviewed by expert judges from each sport, including leading players and coaches from netball, rugby, and football. The overall judging panel is headed by our Beyond the Sport hosts Kenzie Benali and Jim Daly, who bring experience from across the sporting world.
6. Can I submit more than one entry?
Yes. We encourage participants to showcase their best skills and creativity. Multiple entries may be submitted, but each entry should feature a different skill or challenge to maximise your chances of impressing the judges. Only one entry will be eligible to win however.
7. What happens after I enter?
Your entry could be featured on this page and across Shoshin's social channels. Shortlisted entries will be reviewed by our judges.
8. Will my entry be shared?
By entering the #ShoshinSkillsShowdown, you agree that your content may be featured by Shoshin (and Davies Sports) across its website and social media channels to showcase the best skills.
8. Do I need to post using Shoshin equipment?
Ideally we would love to see you using our Shoshin balls and equipment, but please don’t worry if you don’t have any of these yet. If you would like to purchase any equipment to post, you can use GRASSROOTS20 now to get 20% off your order.
9. How will I know if I've won?
Winners will be contacted directly by Shoshin and announced on our social channels.
10. Do I need permission if I'm under 16?
Yes. If you are under 16, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian before entering the competition. By submitting an entry, you confirm that you have this consent. A parent or legal guardian may also be required to provide approval if your entry is shortlisted or selected as a winner.
